What a busy two weeks we’ve had!

In Initialit 1 students have been busy reviewing all the sounds and spelling rules we have learnt this term. We have also been practising contractions and looking closely at how suffixes change words. In Initialit 2 we have continued to learn how to summarise information and have explored ways you remember our tricky words. 

In Maths, our focus has been on subtraction. We are using place value to help solve problems, practising the split strategy, and enjoying lots of hands-on games to strengthen our understanding.

In Wellbeing, we have been creating a social story together. This helps us to think about how we can keep ourselves safe in the playground, as well as how we can help others to be safe too.

We were also lucky enough to visit The Sanctuary with Mrs Swindle to learn more about our house group animals.
