Each year at Badger Creek Primary School, a group of students are selected to be a part of SRC. A Student Representative Council (SRC) is a group of students elected by their peers to represent all students within the school.
Our SRC members represent the voice of all our students, taking conversation back to the classrooms for students to vote and discuss when making whole school decisions. During SRC, students also discuss, plan and organise ways for students to participate in and enjoy school life. Our recent project has been organising a ‘concerns’ and ‘celebrations’ mailbox for students to recognise and celebrate the hard work of others as well creating a safe space for students to share their concerns and seek support.
Hear from some of our current SRC members:
“SRC is a space for students to be heard and make changes to make school fun for everyone”
“I felt happy and lucky that my class voted for me to be SRC. I love going to the meetings”
