School Council

3
The School Council is an elected body of parents, staff and community members responsible for the efficient running of the school within guidelines provided by the Department of Education. School Council plays an important role in school accountability and improvement processes.

Positive home-school relationships are beneficial to student wellbeing, behaviour and academic outcomes. School Council is an active part of the Badger Creek Primary School community. Members have the opportunity to provide valuable viewpoints and skills from their own experiences, their children, and from the wider school community.

Sub committees of the School Council help govern many areas that are of vital importance to the efficient and safe operation of our school. Our sub committees include Resources, Community, Buildings and Grounds, Education and First Nations.

School Council elections are held annually. The term of office for each elected member is two years with casual vacancies being filled as required. Parents and community members are encouraged to participate – all your ideas and opinions are highly valued.
