Rotary Club of Emerald & District Announces 22nd Annual Kids Fun Run with Puffing Billy Emerald, VIC – The Rotary Club of Emerald & District is proud to announce the return of the Kids Fun Run with Puffing Billy, scheduled for Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Puffing Billy Railway’s Gembrook Station. Celebrating its 22nd year, this highly anticipated event continues to promote community spirit, fitness, and charitable giving, with
over $812,250 raised for children’s charities since 2002.
This year, all proceeds will support the creation of a vibrant mural in the children’s ward at Eastern Health Angliss Hospital. The mural, designed by Tess Dawson and her team of artists, aims to bring comfort and healing through engaging artwork depicting the Dandenong Ranges and Puffing Billy. The event aims to raise over $40,000 for this important project.
Children aged 3 to 12 are invited to participate in fun runs divided into six age groups, running alongside Puffing Billy.
Each participant will receive an event bag and a certificate. Fundraising opportunities via online pages include prizes for top fundraisers. The event also features family-friendly entertainment, Puffing Billy train rides, a community market, live music, and activities to keep all attendees engaged.
Registration is $25 per child, with additional train rides available for $5. The event is proudly sponsored by local organizations including Puffing Billy Railway, That’s Right Bookkeeping, and Barry Plant Emerald.
