Principals Message, Term 3 Wrap-Up

As we come to the end of Term 3, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on everything we have achieved together at Badger Creek Primary School. I would like to sincerely thank our incredible staff, families and wider community for the energy, support and care you continue to give our students. It is through this partnership that we create the vibrant, nurturing and inspiring school community we are all so proud to be part of.

This term has been filled with rich learning experiences, exciting events and plenty of opportunities for our students to learn, grow and have fun. Some highlights include:

Prep to Year 2 and Year 3/4 swimming, giving our students the opportunity to develop their confidence and skills in the water.
A Grade 5/6 Electrical Science incursion, providing students with a hands-on opportunity to explore and investigate electricity.
Our Campfire Conversation with First Nations students and families, providing an important opportunity for connection, conversation and sharing.
Hosting 12 schools for the third session of our Young Leaders program, with our students focusing on the important theme of kindness.
Three-way interviews, providing students with the opportunity to share their learning celebrations with their families.
Grade 5 students attending Local Project Day at the Don Valley Campus of the School for Student Leadership, where they developed their leadership skills.
A wonderful Book Week extravaganza, including an author visit, our famous Book Week Parade, reading relay, book tasting and book swap.
A Year 3/4 excursion to Scienceworks, where students had the opportunity to extend their learning beyond the classroom.
Grade 5 students attending the Healesville High School production, providing another great connection with our local secondary school.
Our Senior School Lego Masters activity, giving students an opportunity to collaborate, problem solve and demonstrate their creativity.
More than 100 students participating in Walk to School Day, organised by our Grade 5 students in partnership with Yarra Ranges Council.
Our Whole School Footy Day, supported by students from Healesville High School and providing a fantastic day of fun, connection and friendly competition.

It has certainly been a busy term, and it has been wonderful to see our students embracing the many opportunities available to them. Whether it has been through learning, leadership, sport, creativity, community connections or simply having fun together, there have been plenty of moments for our students to be proud of.

I could not be prouder of the way our students continue to live our school values of Be Safe, Be Kind, Be a Learner.

As we head into the holidays, I encourage everyone to take some time to rest, recharge and enjoy time with family and friends. Thank you once again for your ongoing support of our school and, most importantly, our students.
