Prep News, Term 4 – Week 10

Wow, what a wonderful year of Prep we have had!

As we begin to wrap up 2025, it truly feels like only yesterday our Preps were walking through the doors for their very first day, and now we’re already getting them ready for Grade 1!

This year has been filled with so many exciting adventures and learning experiences. Alongside all of our amazing classroom learning, we enjoyed swimming lessons, sports days, an SES visit, a teddy bear picnic, our excursion to the CERES Sustainability Farm, fun dress-up days, the Pevan and Sarah concert, numerous visits to the Sanctuary, and of course everyone’s favourite… buddy lunches!

One of the most special parts of this year has been watching the friendships grow within our prep cohort. The children have shown kindness, teamwork, and care for one another, and it has been such a joy to see these connections blossom both inside and outside the classroom. The friendships they have formed this year will support them beautifully as they move into Grade 1.

To finish the year, we also celebrated with two very special events, our Learning Expo and our Christmas Concert.

For our Learning Expo, the Preps used their imagination and creativity to design and build their very own puppet theatres and puppets. They were incredibly proud to share their hard work with their families, and it was wonderful to see the confidence and joy they brought to their presentations.

For our Christmas Concert, the Preps designed and painted their own Christmas t-shirts, and we’re sure that you would all agree that they looked absolutely fabulous on stage! We were so proud of their enthusiasm and teamwork on the night.

“It was the BEST night” – The Preps

Thank you to all our wonderful Prep families for your support throughout the year. What a beautiful journey it has been, and we are so excited to see what lies ahead for our soon-to-be Grade 1s!

From some VERY proud Prep teachers 😊
