Grade 6 Fighting Extinction Team

This year we have our first ever Sanctuary Leader, Evelyn!

Evelyn has set herself a goal to make Badger Creek Primary School a Fighting Extinction School. A Fighting Extinction School engages students and teachers in real-world learning by taking action for wildlife. This week, Evelyn and her team including, Sanne and Annabelle were invited to visit the endangered species area at Healesville Sanctuary. Here are the highlights from their visit:

“I liked meeting the keepers and seeing the behind the scenes. I also loved the detection dogs” – Sanne.
“I loved going behind the scenes and seeing all the animals that are going to be released into the wild” – Annabelle.
“I liked going to the Sanctuary and seeing all the animals and learning new things” – Evelyn.

We cannot wait to see Badger Creek become a Fighting Extinction School!
