5/6 Werribee Zoo Excursion
Last Friday we went to Werribee Zoo.
First, we lined up to go on a safari bus, which included African animals, and some more of the riverside animals, such as crocodiles and hippos. We had our own open windowed carriage on the safari bus, so we could have a beautiful view of the rhinos, giraffes, zebras, wild dogs, and HUGE horned antelopes.
After the safari, we went and had lunch for 10 minutes.
Once we had finished our TASTY lunch, we headed off to start our educational workshop in the wallaby’s enclosure area, where we talked about First Nations stories, and walked to the next section where we sat down on mats to examine the fake native Australian skulls, and we had to guess what our specific animal was.
After we finished, we went to explore the different animals in our separate groups for roughly an hour.
We met back up by the entrance and lined up to hop back on the bus home.
