Cyber Safety at Badger Creek Primary School

Cyber Safety

This week, our whole school jumped into a fun and interactive cyber safety session with Trent from the Cyber Safety Project. Each year level took part in an engaging, age-appropriate session focused on building essential digital safety skills to learn to stay safe and smart online. Here’s a quick snapshot of what each group got up to:

Prep – Year 2: S.T.O.P. for Safety
Our youngest learners became Safety Seekers! They learned to tune into their feelings, recognise when something online doesn’t feel right, and S.T.O.P., step back, and ask for help.
Year 3 – 4: Privacy Protectors
Students explored how to keep personal information private, use strong passwords, and stay safe from online trickery — all while having fun discussing the digital spaces they use every day.
Year 5 – 6: Digital Defenders
Our senior students tackled big topics like cyberbullying, oversharing, and protecting personal data. They walked away feeling more confident and responsible online.
