Firstly, thank you and congratulations to the Prep and 5/6 students for signing and signing the “Happy Mother’s Day” song at assembly last week. You performed with confidence and pride.

This term, the following foci are occurring in Auslan across the school:
-Preps have learnt immediate family member signs and are now moving onto numbers 0-10.
-1/2s have been working on numbers to 20 and are progressing into time (days and months).
-3/4s have revised numbers to 100 and are now exploring insects.
-5/6s are revising extended family member signs and have created flashcards that are being printed and sent home to teach you the signs at home.

Students in grades 1-6 are also practicing the Auslan alphabet to help them with these topics. For additional practice at home please click here.
