Online enrolment

This year, our school is using VicStudents, an online system for new enrolments in Victorian government schools.

VicStudents is available at select schools, for students who are enrolling in a Victorian government school for the first time. This includes Foundation (Prep) enrolments for 2026. 

VicStudents has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security. 

2027 Foundation (Prep) enrolments

The Department of Education has released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2027 school year.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Badger Creek Primary School. The timeline also applies to online enrolment.

All government primary schools will follow the timeline in 2025 to support Foundation (Prep) enrolments for the 2026 school year.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2026 at Badger Creek Primary School from 20th April 2026.

What you need to do:

1. Contact our school on 59 624 019 or email badger.creek.ps@education.vic.gov.au to book a school tour or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
2. Download the Foundation (Prep) enrolment information pack from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by 20th April 2026).
3. Submit your online application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 31st July 2027.
4. You will be notified of the outcome of your application Monday August 3rd and Friday August 13th 2026. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should respond to the offer on VicStudents by Friday 28th August 2026.
5. Take part in enrolment information and transition sessions during Term 4, 2025.
6. Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from Thursday 28th January 2027.

Enrolment applications submitted after 31st July 2026 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

To commence online enrolment 

Visit students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form. Please ensure that all documents required are attached to the application.

If applying for Foundation (Prep) 2026, applications open on VicStudents from 22 April 2025.

Using a paper form

If you prefer not to use VicStudents, you can choose to enrol using a paper form instead. Please contact us to arrange this.
